The sixth Verk og vit exhibition is to be held on 18-21 April 2024 in the Laugardalur Exhibition Centre in Reykjavík. Previous exhibitions have always aroused great interest among both professionals and the public, and Verk og vit has become established as a key event, a ‘harvest festival’ for all involved in the construction industry, town planning and civil engineering in Iceland. The aim of the exhibition is twofold: firstly, to stimulate contact and consolidate business relations between professional entities, and secondly, to raise public awareness of the activities covered by the sectors represented in the exhibitions, including in such areas as quality standards and education.

Verk og vit has always attracted a lot of attention and the exhibitions have been well attended. About 25,000 guests have turned out to view the products and services of more than 100 exhibitors on each occasion. In addition, conferences and other events relating to the exhibition have focussed on aspects of the construction industry, urban planning, public works and professional training. The result has been the stimulation of professional debate and recruitment in these professions.

Exhibitors in Verk og vit 2022 included contractors, engineering consultancies, equipment rental companies, software houses, manufacturers, educational establishments, finance companies, consultants and local authorities. In a survey by Zenter, about 92% of exhibitors reported satisfaction with the exhibition, and 94% of this number considered they had achieved most or all of what they had hoped to achieve by participating. It therefore comes as no surprise that the vast majority of exhibitors consider there is full reason to hold Verk og vit again.
